Welcome To Kimberley Ann's Theatre School
Quality Dance Instruction
About Us
Learn to Move, Make Friends, be Confident
At Kimberley Ann's Theatre School (KATS), we’ve been helping Mildenhall stay stylish on the dance floor since 2006 when we first opened the doors of our dance HQ in the historic building of the Bunbury Rooms (which makes up part of the Mildenhall heritage trail).
Over the years we have had the pleasure of 1000's of children from the local community learning to dance with us. In 2012 we were presented with an award from Mildenhall Community Partnership in recognition for our service to the local community through our performances and fundraising efforts.
As well as teaching dance, KATS teaches children the importance of inclusion, respect, supporting others, diversity and confidence which make up the core values of our school. KATS welcomes students of all abilities, both boys and girls aged from 3 years and older. We're proud of the welcome and support our students offer to all new members of our KATS family.
Over the last few years we have taken groups of children to dance at some of the worlds most famous and prestigious venues in London including the Royal Albert Hall, Her Majesty's Theatre, Sadler's Wells and The Indigo @ The 02. There will be many more performance opportunities like this in the future.
KATS has supported many worthy causes over the years, helping to raise thousands of pounds for charities including Children in Need, East Anglian Air Ambulance, Cancer Research, British Red Cross as well as performances at many local school fetes. Using our love of dance and performing to give back to the community is a very important part of what we're about.
KATS is more than a dance school, learn to dance, be confident, make friends for life, be part of the KATS pride.

Where the Passion Begins
Kimberley Ann Pearson
KATS Principal
Kimberley Ann began her dance training at the age of four, under the Imperial Society of Teachers of Dance (ISTD) in Tap, Ballet and Modern. Kim is an All England Champion in Dance and in 2005 she was delighted to receive the Alan Holt award in recognition of young talent in the performing arts.
Kim has performed at Sadler's Wells and Her Majesty's Theatre in London's West End as well as venues in Paris and the major theatres across East Anglia. Kim has also danced alongside Bonnie Langford for a television broadcast.
She has worked extensively with the Bury St Edmunds Operatic Society at the Theatre Royal, taking the part of 'Louisa' in The Sound of Music, 'Liat' in South Pacific, the romantic young lead 'Philia' in A Funny Thing Happened on the way to the Forum, and other productions including The Card, Gigi, Kiss me Kate and The King and I.
Having fell in love with performing on stage Kim discovered a new passion of passing on her love for dance and performing to the next generation. She completed her teacher training at a specialised dance teaching college under the ISTD and in 2006 KATS was born. Kim's training includes Health and Safety, Child Development, Anatomy, Child protection and Safeguarding. She also holds a First Aid certificate and has completed her teaching certificate with Acrobatic Arts.
